“LET THE children come to me, and do not hinder them,
for to such belongs the kingdom of god.”
- Jesus (Luke 18:16)
WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO
We want kids to follow Jesus and know they are deeply loved by their church community.
We love kids well by including them — at meals, during worship, in opportunities to serve, and through a monthly family-wide service where the whole church gathers together. We believe faith isn't just taught, it's caught, and kids grow best when they see the adults around them loving God and loving each other.
We love kids well by creating a fun, safe environment where they can learn about Jesus, build a foundation for lasting faith, and grow in their connection with other kids and leaders.

What to expect
Before class. We encourage kids of all ages to stay with their parents during breakfast and the worship music that opens our service — faith is caught by being together. After worship, kids are dismissed to their classrooms.
Nursery (ages 0–2). If you'd rather check in your baby or toddler earlier, our nursery is open with a childcare worker present starting at the beginning of worship.
Preschool. Play and activity time, kid-focused worship music, a Bible story, prayer, and a craft.
Elementary. Play and a get-to-know-you game, worship (with memory verses and books of the Bible woven in), a Bible story, a craft or activity, and prayer.
Pickup. Kids are ready for pickup around 11:30am, after the table discussion and benediction that close our service.
Bathroom and Diaper Changes. Volunteer texts parent/guardian so the parent/guardian can change the diaper.
Check-in made simple. At check-in, your child receives a nametag, you keep a matching claim tag, and their classroom leader keeps a third matching tag with your phone number — so we can reach you instantly if we ever need to during class.

WHAT WE VALUE IN KIDS MINISTRY
Belonging over performance. Every kid is known by name, welcomed as they are, and given a place at the table — not just in the classroom, but in the life of our church.
Family partnership. Parents are a child's first and most important faith influence. We see ourselves as partners with you, not a substitute, and we build our rhythms — including a monthly family-wide service — around keeping kids connected to what the whole church is experiencing together.
Safety. Our classrooms are led by background-checked volunteers, kept at healthy adult-to-child ratios, and never left with just one adult.
Fun, age-appropriate teaching. Bible stories, worship, prayer, and hands-on activities — paced and taught in a way that actually makes sense for a preschooler or a second grader, not a shrunken-down version of "big church."
A foundation that lasts. We're not just filling an hour. We want kids leaving our care with a growing, lasting faith of their own.

SAFETY STANDARDS
We take your child's safety seriously at every step, not just in policy but in daily practice.
If you ever have a question about our safety practices, we'd love to talk with you — just ask any of our kids ministry leaders or reach out to us by emailing info@tablemt.org.
- Background-checked leaders. All of our kids ministry volunteers are background-checked, and every classroom is staffed by at least two adult leaders whenever kids are present. No child is ever alone with just one adult.
- Healthy ratios. We keep age-appropriate adult-to-child ratios in every room, from our youngest nursery babies through elementary age, so every kid is known and cared for.
- Secure check-in and check-out. A unique, matching code system means your child is only released to you — no exceptions.
- A healthy environment. Toys are sanitized after use, and we ask that kids (and leaders) who've had symptoms like fever, vomiting, or a persistent cough in the last 48 hours stay home, so our classrooms stay healthy for everyone.
- Secure spaces. Kid spaces are locked during class, with a doorbell system for anyone who needs to be let in — including you, any time you want to check on your child.
