Gospel of Mark

Philip Yancey once noted that seeing people as 'lost' seeking guidance or refuge, and thirsty seeking water (rather than 'other' or 'enemy'), changed the way he interacted with people and subsequently led to more opportunities to share the good news. This Sunday, we will keep moving along through the gospel of Mark as we come to the one miracle that is recorded in all four Gospels feeding of the 5000. Although it's mentioned in all four gospels, each gospel focuses on a different element of the story. We will explore what Mark hopes to communicate to his audience and us today. Mark centralizes the compassion of Jesus and his Shepherd like ministry. He longs to guide us and fill us.
