Gospel of Mark 7:24-30

A BIG thank you to some of our pastoral team, Mark and Molly, for leading us well over the last two weeks in teaching and preaching. I am excited to be back with you on Sunday as we look at what I think is the most controversial text in Mark’s Gospel for the contemporary reader. We will have to break through some of the difficulties in order to see what this beautiful story has to say to us about who Jesus is and what it means to follow him well. A question to consider as we prepare for our gathering: Have you ever felt like God owed you something, and what thoughts or emotions come to mind when what you wanted did not come to pass?”
